GE2020: PAP secretary-general Lee Hsien Loong unveils party manifesto

Ahead of the Singapore general election on Jul 10, the People's Action Party (PAP) on Saturday (Jun 27) unveiled a manifesto which focuses on saving jobs and restarting the economy, migrant worker welfare, as well as supporting each other to stay safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic. READ: PAP secretary-general Lee Hsien Loong also said of the 27 new faces that the party could field: "Our new candidates come from all walks of life, and they are representative of the complexion of our society." He added that there are about 20 members of Parliament retiring, including Deputy Speaker Charles Chong, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan.
