Stars Align as MICHELIN Chefs Join PRU for Anniversary - TOP25RESTAURANTS.comPhuket, Thailand, October 3, 2024 / TRAVELINDEX / Two of the best chefs working in Thailand, Jimmy Ophorst of PRU in Phuket and Chef Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam of Baan Tepa in Bangkok, will join forces for a special four-hands collaboration at PRU at the end of October.

These much-anticipated events will occur on October 30th and 31st, marking the first anniversary of PRU’s new purpose-built venue and the restaurant’s eighth anniversary as a trailblazer in sustainable fine dining.

Helmed by Executive Chef Jimmy Ophorst, one MICHELIN-star rated PRU has pioneered the farm-to-table movement in the Kingdom, blending sustainability with innovation. The restaurant’s unique “Inside-Out” dining concept—housed in a stunning, new purpose-built venue—breaks down the traditional wall between kitchen and dining room, offering guests an immersive experience to witness the culinary craftsmanship of Ophorst and his team firsthand.

The collaboration with Chef Tam, winner of the 2024 MICHELIN Young Chef Award and the creative force behind two MICHELIN-star-rated Baan Tepa, promises to be a momentous culinary event. Both chefs are known for their innovative approaches to seasonal Thai ingredients, each bringing their distinctive signature dishes to the table while joining forces on select courses to craft a menu that highlights the pinnacle of sustainable, contemporary cuisine.

Guests will be treated to an exclusive dining experience running on both evenings. The meticulously curated menu will feature a selection of Chef Jimmy’s and Chef Tam’s signature creations, alongside collaborative dishes that showcase the exceptional local and seasonal ingredients available in Thailand.

“Collaborating with Chef Tam is such an exciting opportunity,” said Ophorst. “We both share a deep respect for Thailand’s incredible bounty of ingredients and are passionate about using what’s available locally creatively. This event is a celebration of everything that makes Thai cuisine so special—its flavours, its history, and its endless potential.”

“I have always admired PRU’s commitment to sustainability and their innovative approach to fine dining,” added Chef Tam. “This collaboration gives us a chance to show how diverse and vibrant Thailand’s culinary scene is. Together, we’ll highlight the incredible ingredients that come from all over the country, and I can’t wait to create something unforgettable with Chef Jimmy.”

Additionally, for those looking to immerse themselves in the luxury of Trisara, there will be an exclusive offer on accommodation during the event. Guests can enjoy a stay in an Ocean View Pool Junior Suite starting at THB 22,000+++ per night, inclusive of breakfast and airport transfers. For guests staying a minimum of two consecutive nights, the offer will be THB 43,000+++ for two nights in the Ocean View Pool Junior Suite, which is also inclusive of breakfast and return airport transfers.

The exclusive offer is only available for guests booked for the four-hand collaboration between PRU and Baan Tepa.
