MTR Corp to cut fares by 1.7 per cent starting this summer to help Hong Kong residents ‘ride out tough times’ during Covid-19 pandemic

Hong Kong’s rail operator will cut ticket prices by 1.7 per cent this summer in its first reduction in more than a decade as the economy continues to limp along during the coronavirus pandemic.The MTR Corporation revealed on Monday that the reduction would begin on June 27.
