NT worker at Granites gold mine tests positive to Covid as 1,600 ordered into isolation

Mine worker in Northern Territory who tested positive is believed to have caught virus in hotel quarantine in Queensland

More than 1,600 people in three states have been ordered into isolation after a man tested positive to Covid-19 at a mine in the Northern Territory.

The chief minister, Michael Gunner, told reporters the mine worker tested positive on Friday after arriving in the Territory on 18 June.
