Pope Francis and his predecessor, Pope Benedict, have been vaccinated against Covid, writes my colleague Harriet Sherwood.
The move came days after the pope’s personal physician, Dr Fabrizio Soccorsi, 78, died due to complications caused by the virus.
It is an ethical choice because you are gambling with your health, with your life, but you are also gambling with the lives of others.
