Elective surgeries at some Queensland hospitals may need to be suspended as the number of furloughed health workers reaches more than 3,300.
On Friday, the state’s health minister, Yvette D’Ath, said elective surgeries could be affected at some hospitals in response to thousands of health workers needing to quarantine or isolate.
