Business Pulse: Opioid Overdose Epidemic, launched today by the CDC Foundation, explores how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is working to protect individuals from the widespread opioid overdose epidemic. This epidemic is taking a toll on U.S. employers. In 2013, prescription opioid dependence, abuse and overdose cost the United States $78.5 billion. CDC is committed to protecting individuals and families by preventing opioid overdoses.
