Pre-departure COVID-19 test for travellers from the UK and US from 15 January
From 11:59pm on 15 January 2021, all travellers arriving from the United Kingdom and the United States to New Zealand, will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test taken in the 72 hours prior to departure.
The test adds to the measures for travellers from higher risk destinations which came into force on 1 January (day zero/day one testing and stay in their MIQ room requirement until a negative test). All travellers will still need to go into 14 days managed isolation upon arrival in New Zealand and undertake the usual COVID-19 testing.
