China’s Top Insurers See Profits Slump on Coronavirus Impact
Apr.23 — China’s top two insurance companies saw profits plunge in the first quarter as the coronavirus hit sales and investment returns. China Life, the country’s biggest life insurer posted a 34% drop in profits through March, while Ping An, China’s largest insurer by market value, said profits fell 43%.
