ECB May Extend Pandemic Emergency Purchases Beyond 2020

Apr.30 — The European Central Bank said its pandemic emergency purchase program could be extended beyond 2020 if necessary. The ECB stands ready "to re-calibrate and to adjust the size and the composition of PEPP in size and in length," President Christine Lagarde said in response to a question from Bloomberg's Carolynn Look during a virtual press conference, Thursday.
