About 4,000 students return to school during full home-based learning period
Around 3,300 primary school and 700 secondary school students went to school daily during the full home-based learning (HBL) period. They generally fall under three categories: Those whose parents are in essential services and do not have alternative caregiving arrangements, those who face challenges learning at home, and those without sufficient digital devices or internet access at home. In Parliament on May 4, Second Minister for Education Indranee Rajah said schools have loaned out more than 20,000 computing devices and 1,600 internet-enabling devices.
