Business as usual for food suppliers despite shorter operating hours at Johor Causeway

Shorter opening hours at the Johor Causeway kicked on April 24, but fresh food items are still reaching suppliers on time. At Ayer Rajah wet market, stall owners said nothing was amiss, although some of their products come through the Causeway daily at different times. The Tuas Second Link remains open 24 hours daily. Authorities told CNA they are monitoring the situation closely, and affected food importers may divert their trucks to the Tuas Second Link. More manpower will also be deployed at cargo lanes at the land checkpoints during peak hours.
