COVID-19 circuit breaker: Allied health services to be recategorised as essential services

Allied health services that are not part of public healthcare institutions will be recategorised as essential services from April 29. This includes rehab and therapy services, as well as other services such as social work and psychology. The Health Ministry has urged service providers to adopt the use of teleconsultation, unless the platform is not suitable for the patient. Face-to-face sessions will be prioritised for those whose conditions may significantly worsen if they do not receive treatment.
