Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Chee Hong Tat said the COVID-19 pandemic can be an opportunity to generate more jobs in certain sectors over the next 12 to 18 months. These include essential domestic services, such as healthcare and early childhood education. He added that the Health Promotion Board is also looking to hire 5,700 swabbers.
