COVID-19 update, April 20: Over 280 will be issued fines for flouting circuit breaker measures

On April 20, 80 people were caught not wearing masks and more than 200 others did not comply with safe distancing measures. All of them will be issued fines. Nine of them will face a S$1,000 fine for committing the offences a second time. Sharing these numbers in a Facebook post, Environment and Water Resources Minister Masagos Zulkifli said if these are acts of defiance and irresponsibility, they clearly undermine the efforts that everyone else has been making.
