COVID-19 update, May 4: Singapore reports 573 new cases, first dorm cluster closed
Singapore reported 573 new cases of COVID-19 infections on May 4, bringing the national tally to 18,778. Most of the new cases are migrant workers staying in dormitories, while the 5 new community cases are all Singaporeans or permanent residents. Three new clusters have been identified at Hai Leck Engineering, Melody Springs construction site, and 6 Tuas Basin Link. As there have been no cases linked to Little Gems Preschool and the dormitory at 55 Sungei Kadut Loop for 28 days, the clusters have been closed.
