COVID-19: Wedding banquets postponed to late 2020, early 2021 as couples remain optimistic



Couples in Singapore are planning to go ahead with huge hotel wedding banquets in 2020 and 2021 — with some for as many as 300 guests. At least two major hotel chains said they are starting to see postponed bookings pile up, along with new ones as the pandemic drags on. The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts said it has seen a "significant increase in demand" to hold new and postponed weddings in 2021. It added that it will have safe distancing measures, such as individually plated dishes and smaller groups at each table, even after the circuit breaker period.
