About 40 instances of rumours, scams and falsehoods relating to COVID-19 have been debunked since late January. In Parliament on May 4, Communications and Information Minister S Iswaran said the authorities have spared no effort to swiftly put out the facts and dispel such falsehoods. Action has been taken against Singaporeans and foreign parties for spreading false claims.
