Public Hygiene Council seeking more support for coffeeshop operators

Proposals have been floated to help coffeeshop operators improve cleanliness standards, as the COVID-19 pandemic puts the spotlight on good hygiene. The Public Hygiene Council said it is in talks with the authorities to look into the possibility of grants for coffeeshops to upgrade their toilets, which have been found to be dirtier than those at hawker centres.
