RSAF’s UAV squadron makes adjustments amid COVID-19 circuit breaker

As most of Singapore stays home during the COVID-19 circuit breaker period, an air force unit is keeping the country safe. As part of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Critical Ops Unit, the 128 Squadron operates the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) that support counter-terrorism and homeland security operations. Other roles in the unit include engineers and fighter pilots. All members of the squadron have had to make some adjustments during the pandemic. To reduce the risk of infection, they operate on shifts that last at least two weeks, where they live on base.
