Singapore Airlines said to be considering aircraft deferrals, sale and leaseback transactions
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is said to be considering aircraft deferrals as well as sale and leaseback of some aircraft. The options are being looked at as the airline deals with the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic. The reports have been carried in the American business magazine Forbes and the world's largest aviation news site, Simple Flying. SIA told CNA it "has explored other traditional funding channels such as secured financing and sale-and-leaseback transactions, although opportunities remain limited in current market conditions".
