French scientists: Second infection wave ‘highly likely’ in autumn or winter

Top scientists in France say that a second wave of COVID-19 infections is around the corner — and "highly likely" to sweep across the country in the autumn or winter.
In a statement to the Health Ministry, France’s scientific committee said that if people fail to respect social distancing rules — it could not rule out a return of the epidemic before the end of summer. France is on the growing list of European countries dealing with an uptick in coronavirus cases over the holiday season.
