Europe’s Travel and Tourism sectors are among the biggest economic casualties of the Covid-19 pandemic. With borders restricted, planes grounded, hotels and leisure attractions closed, the industry has suffered an unprecedented shock, with consequences likely to be felt for months, if not years ahead. Now, as lockdown restrictions begin to ease, how can the Travel and Tourism sectors get back on their feet? What needs to change, to survive in the world of “new normal”? How can consumer confidence be restored? And what role for the European Union?
