Chile’s government impose strict Santiago lockdown as Covid-19 cases soar

Chile has recorded 368 deaths due to Covid-19, a relatively low figure compared to other countries in the region. But the infection rate has been soaring in recent days, prompting the government to declare a lockdown in the capital Santiago starting today, where the health care system is close to full capacity, according to the unions.
