Remdesivir has become the first drug to show a “clear-cut” effect on coronavirus cases, as a US and European preliminary study showed. The antiviral was designed by laboratory Gilead to fight the Ebola virus but Covid-10 patients who agreed to participate on tests managed to recover 31% faster than those taking placebo.
