New studies report ‘no benefit’ in hydroxychloroquine against Covid-19

Two new studies suggest that treating Covid-19 patients with hydroxycholoroquine has no positive effects, doing possibly more harm than good. The drug had been previously presented by Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro as a potential game changer. “People are right to be cautious, because this is not a miracle drug, yet it might be efficient if further investigation proves its efficacy”, hospital physician at Paris-Descartes University Jean-Jacques Zambrowski told FRANCE 24.
