Shanmugam on “malicious” spreading of misrepresented videos to create foreign worker “panic”

People are deliberately spreading videos with false claims to create "fear and panic" among the foreign worker community in Singapore, says Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam. He cited the example of an old video circulating with a false message that a migrant worker in Singapore committed suicide because of a lack of money and work. He also said people are circulating old photographs of food packets to suggest ill treatment.
