‘We will see how standards can be raised’: Josephine Teo on housing for Singapore’s migrant workers
Responding to questions on plans to deal with the issue of housing standards for migrant workers in Singapore, Manpower Minister Josephine Teo said her ministry will see how standards can be raised, particularly in older dorms. She also outlined how the housing standards of Singapore's migrant workers have changed since the 1970s. "When (the COVID-19 pandemic) is over, we will reflect and thoroughly look into areas where we could have done better, so that we will be better prepared the next time," Mrs Teo told Parliament on on Monday (May 4).
