WA premier Mark McGowan has announced a four-day lockdown for people in Perth and the Peel region, while the Northern Territory has announced lockdowns for Darwin and Alice Springs, and South Australia has introduced new restrictions for at least one week. The West Australian premier, Mark McGowan, has announced a four-day lockdown in Perth and the Peel region designed to contain the spread of the Delta variant of Covid-19, after three cases of community transmission were reported.
The Northern Territory has announced a 72-hour lockdown for Darwin until Friday 2 July, 1pm, and a 72-hour lockdown of Alice Springs and nearby communities from 1pm NT time, Wednesday 30 June, until Saturday 3 July.
